Never Talk Down Anyone's Situation

It is very important that we are aware of other people's struggles because there is a 50/50 chance that it will happen to you!

We all say that we don't discriminate and that we are supportive, but how supportive or inclusive are we really? Are you saying it to be nice to end the conversation or are you saying it because that is what you believe?

It's crucial to understand where the other person is coming from regardless of your view. I mean it is a bit narrow minded to say that disabilities and mental health are not that important, take another look at the statistics. One billion people have a disability of some sort. 110 million and 190 million people experience significant disabilities. Did you know that 1 in 4 people in the world have been affected by a mental health issue at some point in their life. Approximately 450 million people currently suffer from mental health conditions, placing mental disorders among the leading causes of poor health and disability worldwide. It makes it seem more important now, doesn't it?

We need to start being more supportive of other people and we should be teaching the whole population people skills, understanding of mental health and disabilities and sign language so then everyone can be inclusive. Therefore, as per my previous post, it doesn't make race any more important if you are a certain ethnic group. It's a human issue!

Let's try to change the world for the better.
